Some celebrities marry their personal assistants
In what seems to be a trend in certain celebrity circles, dating or marrying your personal assistant seems to be in vogue. In the UK, Ant McPartlin married his former personal assistant Anne-Marie Corbett two years ago, and it's still news in the UK.
In the US, the trend is also popular. Rocker Steven Tyler is dating his assistant, and singer Bryan Adams had a baby with his former assistant (they even had a baby together).

How to lines get blurred between celebrities & their assistants?
Just look at the title to the position. It's called a "personal" assistant. The job, in fact, is very personal. Celebrities and their assistants often work in a home and their is little to no supervision. When people spend 10 to 12 hours a day with each other, five or six days a week, the lines become blurred. First they become friends, but then things get intimate and lines are crossed.
When executive assistants, for example, work in a corporate office, everything is very formal. People go to work and do their 9 to 5, and then they go home. In fact, most companies have formal policies in place about fraternization, and the HR team is there to make sure that no "hanky panky" is going on. All of those polices in the personal assistant world, basically, don't exist.
