The fixer for billionaires
By Sue Smith
In the super-secret world of billionaires, there is one name that is whispered from client to client when it comes to fixing special problems, and that's Brian Daniel of The Celebrity Personal Assistant Network. Daniel, a former personal assistant to high-profile families, celebrities, royalty and billionaires, knows how to get things done for people with extraordinary means.
It's said that those with money who want luxury service hire lifestyle managers like Brian Daniel to cater to their whims. Wealthy clients are in search of once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and even the best private concierge companies are ill-equipped to provide the level of service that Brian Daniel does.

Wealthy clients are in search of once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and even the best private concierge companies are ill-equipped to provide the level of service that Brian Daniel does.
Why the super-rich flock to fixers like Brian Daniel

Wealthy people want extraordinary service and want access to what even the elite private members' clubs can't offer. "The business model for the invite-only concierge companies is broken," said Daniel when I spoke with him. "The truth is that those exclusive concierge companies for celebrities and billionaires are staffed by people sitting in a cubical. They have never worked for the rich, nor have they ever been to any of the places they are recommending to clients."
Actually, Daniel is more right than I even knew. After looking into elite travel and concierge companies like American Express Centurion Card (aka "The Black Card") and Vertu Concierge, they are in fact staffed by concierges sitting in cubicles and most of them just do internet searches when one of their many clients call the customer service number.

Working with the world's wealthiest people made Daniel the premier lifestyle attaché
"There really is no celebrity concierge anywhere on earth that can match me," says Brian. "Even the ones that are invite-only and charge thousands of dollars to join won't go on location with the client like I do." Indeed, Daniel is right. Because he is a former personal assistant and lifestyle manager who has traveled globally with the world's super-rich, it makes him uniquely qualified to plan and execute his luxury lifestyle management services.

There are two main reasons why a billionaire's travel plans could be derailed: Firstly, things never go as planned when traveling, even for extremely well-heeled people. Secondly, ultra-high net worth people are constantly changing their minds. What that all means is when things go from bad to worse on vacation, you need an expert right by your side to resolve problems, and that's what Brian Daniel does.
"If a client wants to get extra hotel rooms or a superyacht at the last minute and everything is sold out because it's the height of travel season, no concierge company is going to help you," says Brian. "No 800 number can save you. It's over. I go on location with the client and handle every possible detail from A to Z. It's what I call 'Jeff Bezos-level service,' and nobody worldwide is offering it."

Luxury concierge service at most firms is just hype

I did in fact check if any of the luxury concierge companies who serve celebrities or billionaires go on location with the clients, and they did confirm for me that they don't. Most of them struggled to articulate how they could arrange for a travel expert to accompany the VIP guest on the vacation or event being arranged.
Daniel shared a heroic tale of one client with huge wealth had been left high and dry by another "elite celebrity concierge." They had such a bad experience because the client arrived at the villa rental and the owner's rep wasn't there to let them in. Also, the fleet of exotic cars they had rented had not arrived either. Daniel says that he has a 100% success rate and is always 10 steps ahead to make sure everything goes to plan. He has contingency plans built into the contingency plans.
"Celebrities and billionaires have very complex travel plans with a lot of moving parts," says Daniel. "That's why having an experienced lifestyle manager right there by the client's side is essential to ensure everything goes to plan. And if it doesn't, being 'boots on the ground' and handling it in real time is critical."

Being a lifestyle attaché is all about solving problems for billionaires

Brian Daniel's luxury concierge service goes well beyond just vacation planning. For example, he recently found a discontinued designer purse for a celebrity because she just had to have it. "I did a worldwide search for the item," says Daniel. "Because my network is so strong, I was able to track one down in less than 24 hours."
Daniel said that he also solves "unconventional problems" for celebrities and billionaires. "A client once called me on a Sunday at 2:00 am," said Brian. "He was in such a compromising position and had to solve a problem very quickly. I was able to get on the phone and get one of my associates to his location in a matter of a few hours. I then jumped on a plane and flew to meet the client to see things through." Daniel makes himself available 24/7/365 for his clients. He once had a Grammy-winning pop star called him on New Year's Eve because she needed an assistant, and he got her one in record time.

Concierge service for the ultra-high net worth is redefined

Brian Daniel has worn many hats and had many titles over the years: personal assistant, aide, confidant, travel companion, chief of staff, personal valet, and associate. He has worked with American aristocracy, ultra-high net worth families, and industry legends.
"There is nobody anywhere in the world offering the services that I do," says Daniel. "The ones that are attempting to do it haven't actually lived it like I have. Other luxury concierges haven't traveled globally like I have, and they certainly haven't worked with the people I have either. You can't spend your life in an office and truly understand what the life of a billionaire is like. You have to live and breathe it like I have."

How much does it cost to hire an elite lifestyle manager for billionaires?

Brian's services are determined on a case-by-case basis. He doesn't have a menu of services with prices like most lifestyle management companies do. Most of his clients are referred to him by others who have used his services, and he doesn't do any advertising whatsoever.
If Daniel does agree to take someone as a client, it's someone who understands the complexity of solving unconventional problems and creating extraordinary experiences. "I tell them a price, and they send a payment," says Brian. "I don't get involved with thrifty shoppers looking for a deal, so I don't itemize bills either."
