Succession
Succession is an HBO television series about the Roy Family, who run the media conglomerate Waystar Royco. It's been said that the real-life family behind the story is the Murdochs. If America decides the show really is about Rupert Murdoch, then so be it. Succession is so popular that the show even has its own official podcast.
The Succession TV show was created by Jesse Armstrong, and more than one episode was directed by Mark Mylod. The saga takes the Roy Family to locations like Hungary, Norway, Italy, Virginia, New York, and even to Dundee, Scotland.
Here at our domestic staffing agency, we are particularly interested in this TV show because we place staff inside the real-life homes of celebrities, billionaires, and legacy families.

Logan Roy heads Waystar Royco

Logan Roy is the founder of Waystar Royco and the patriarch of the Roy Family. His siblings are Ewan and Rose. Logan's mother is named Helen; and his wife is Caroline, which is his second marriage.
Building up Waystar Royco wasn't easy, but Logan Roy is an ego maniac and a narcissist, so having success is in his blood.
Becoming a media titan and billionaire was very important to him, and that idea is the driving force behind Succession.

Who is Sarah Snook in Succession?

Sarah Snook plays the role of Shiv Roy. Her character is particularly liked because Shiv can hold her own against the two brothers.
Shiv's wedding takes place in episode 9. At that time, Shiv and Roman have an alliance, but the Roys are always exchanging favors and alliances with each other.
Finally, Shiv abandons her loyalty for her father whenever she has a chance to get something for herself, which fans really seem to love about her.

Tom tasks Greg with preventing the company's funeral
Many international companies have "bodies buried" and "skeletons in the closet." Waystar Royco is no different. Tom wants to prevent a link being made between a young waiter on a cruise ship and a scandal, so he takes a page right out of corporate America's playbook and Tom tasks Greg to help cover it up.
How did Kendall Roy become CEO?

At the end of episode 1, Logan Roy has a medical emergency and becomes incapacitated. That's when Kendall Roy becomes the acting CEO, but not until the two brothers have a battle for the position.
Kendall suggests that the Roy family's power rests on him becoming CEO, and this is proposed while the family plans for Logan's possible funeral. In the end, the Roys don't want their legacy broken, so they agree to concede. Roman accepts the deal, and Kendall finds his true power after that.

When does Succession season 4 end?
Spoiler Alert: The final episode was a much-anticipated event. After the death of Logan Roy, the family's infighting is uncontrollable. In the series finale, the media conglomerate Waystar Royco is sold in what is known as the "GoJo deal". In the end, the GoJo sale results in the company being controlled by Tom.
