Having a clean and organized resume is the most important factor for attracting employers. Your resume is like a movie preview. It is a "marketing tool" that demonstrates your capabilities. If, for example, your document is disorganized, has typographical errors and is messy, then you're not going to get the kind of interviews that you would like. It's not uncommon to read on job seekers' LinkedIn profiles that they are frustrated that employers won't call them, and that could be because of the way that they are presenting themselves.
