JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client is an ultra-high net worth family (UHNWF) currently seeking a fully licensed teacher for home schooling of two elementary-aged children. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a teacher who would like to move into the private sector and put all of their energy into just two students.
Our client is in finance on Wall Street and wants the very best education for his children. Essentially, the teacher-tutor has unlimited resources, and this is a great break from public school systems where resources are limited, and teachers have to "teach to the test."
The teacher-tutor will have a personal assistant and nanny at their disposal to assist. Most of the work will be done at the main estate in the Greater New York City area. On occasion, though, the teacher-tutor may be working in an estate in the Hamptons. Flexibility is a necessity.
The position is full time, so normal "school hours" would apply: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Just as with a normal school day, the teacher will have prep time and will NOT be teaching the entire time. The employer recognizes that in a school setting that single-subject teachers would be handling Art, Music & PE; so, flexibility is required. Candidates who have experience with private education and home schooling are preferred.
