Politician has an affair with his assistant
UK politician Matt Hancock and his personal assistant had an affair, which has said was a failure in his leadership. Video footage of the Hancock and his assistant, Gina Coladangelo, had emerged. The two were kissing in the office and it was supposed to be during social distancing that Hancock himself had proposed.
Why did the politician have an affair with his assistant?
Hancock himself admits that his judgement was off and that it shouldn't have happened, but he fell in love. The title is called "personal" assistant for a reason. When employers hire an assistant, they often spend very long hours together. They go through good times and bad, and sometimes the lines become blurred. It certainly wasn't the first nor the last time that it happened. For example, American singer Bryan Adams married his long-time PA and now the two have a child together.
