The Ferris Bueller Restaurant
I sometimes get emails from personal assistants from all over the world who are going to be visiting Los Angeles. They often ask me about the best restaurant in LA because they want their boss to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. My "lifestyle management" suggestion is always the same: Go to the "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" restaurant. It's in Los Angles, not Chicago. And, yes, I've been there. Not only that, but I also sat in the same seat that Bueller himself did.
It usually comes as a very big surprise to the PAs that I talk to because the famous establishment in FBDO is not in Chicago. In fact, the name is not even the same. The real name is L'Orangerie, and it's located adjacent to Beverly Hills on La Cienega Blvd. Check out the video below to see the interior.

Update: The Ferris Bueller restaurant is now closed
All good things come to an end. After 30 years of serving celebrities and billionaires, this famous establishment has closed. It is now home to another famous restaurant: Nobu (A Robert DeNiro restaurant).
