The house manager of Johnny Depp in court
In yet another rocky week for the Johnny Depp - Amber Heard trial, another domestic staffing employee has testified. Just last week, Amber Heard's personal assistant weighed in; now Johnny Depp's house manager is speaking up.
The house manager, Ben King, assisted the couple in an estate located in Australia. While on the stand, King described the condition of the mansion when he arrived -- it was in disarray. While King himself is from the UK and Depp is from the US, they all found themselves together in the estate while Johnny was working on a film.

What's it like to be a house manager for a celebrity?
Working as a house manager -- aka estate manager -- in private service can vary a lot from employer to employer. No two employers could be the same, even if they are in the same industry, like the movie business for example.
Depending on the size of the estate and the number of other domestic staff workers, the job duties are considerably different. Some positions, for example, are "hybrid," which means that more than one position has been blended together.
Just some of the positions that are similar are Chief of Staff, butler, personal assistant, estate manager and even butler.
Whenever someone works in private service for a high-net-worth family, they have to sign an NDA: Non-discloser agreement; so if you see something between a celebrity couple, normally it would never be spoken about. In this particular case with Depp and Heard, the house manager is required to testify by law.
