Estate Management: The World's Most Beautiful Estate

My visit to the Hearst Castle was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It is located in San Simeon, California; which is about half way between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Construction started in 1919 and continued for decades. It was owned by the late William Randolph Hearst, a newspaper tycoon who was one of the world's richest at the time.
It is estimated that the mega-estate cost about $200,000,000 to build, but it is literally filled with priceless treasures that Hearst collected over his lifetime. I spent two days at the castle touring the property and was assisted by very knowledgeable estate managers who gave great detail and historical perspective about the property and it's construction. If you have ever wanted to work at a sprawling mega-estate, there are jobs at the property and volunteer positions as well.
