Estate Management: The World's Most Beautiful Estate
Estate Management is complex in a castle
My visit to the Hearst Castle was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It is located in San Simeon, California, which is about halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Construction started in 1919 and continued for decades. It was owned by the late William Randolph Hearst, a newspaper tycoon who was one of the world's richest at the time.
It is estimated that the mega-estate cost about $700,000,000 to build (in today's money), but it is literally filled with priceless treasures that Hearst collected over his lifetime.
I spent three days at the castle doing VIP tours of the property and was assisted by very knowledgeable estate managers who spoke about the property and its fantastic construction. If you have ever wanted to work at a sprawling mega-estate, there are jobs at the property and volunteer positions as well.
NOTE: The videos I made during my time are not as good as the ones below, so I included them for your enjoyment.
