Travel Assistant for high-net-worth individual
Job Description
LOCATION
The client lives in the Midwest to the West coast, but candidates from any part of the United States may apply.
Our client is a retired high-net-worth individual who loves to travel. She was a successful entrepreneur, and now she wants to see the world; and the assistant will accompany the client on location wherever she goes. Candidates with travel experience, especially ones that come from a hospitality background are ideal.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The client will take approximately 6 trips a year, which would last anywhere from 1 week to 1 month at a time. Planning would typically be done in advance by the client, so the candidate won't be asked to do a complex trip with very short notice.
The candidate will have time in-between trips to stay in their own home city, while still working and collaborating with the client virtually on the next trip.
SALARY
You will get paid to travel the world, and salary will be based on experience. A typically competitive salary for an assistant, plus 100% of travel expenses, accommodations and food will be covered. A discretionary year-end bonus based on performance.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Is well versed in all forms for travel: commercial, private aviation, cruise ships, etc.

- Travel savvy: Experienced at arranging unique travel experiences
- Experienced traveler at some level: Has traveled internationally
- Outgoing: Has good social skills
- An assistant with "sea legs" and gusto: Has the desire to travel 1st class and be involved in various activities: hiking, biking, golfing, etc.

- Assistance: Can accept what the travel includes: dealing with luggage, checking in to hotels, dealing with hospitality staff, etc.
- Sky is the limit: Candidate wants to go to places like the Antarctic, Asia or South America
- Holiday travel: An assistant who can also travel during the holiday season (end of December through beginning of January) is ideal, but not a deal-breaker. Most travel will be from May-October.
