Job Summary
The Personal Assistant to the CEO is intuitive, listens intently, and will provide proactive and forward-thinking support to the CEO and other Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Personal Assistant provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship.
The Personal Assistant serves as a liaison to the Advisory Board (AB) and management teams; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external-relations efforts and oversees special projects. The Personal Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within a fast growing, agile, and entrepreneurial environment to include managing requests from multiple executives.
The ideal individual will have the confidence to proactively manage and drive the executives, be able to demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment in a diversity of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills. Must possess the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. Be a bridge for communication between the CEO and internal departments, with strong collaborative relationships across the organization. Consistently organize information to facilitate decision-making for the leadership team.
The primary objective of the role is to provide and lead support to both internal and external parties with a high level of professionalism and in a manner that reflects positively on the organization. This role in many ways is the face of PPM and therefore has the responsibility to lead by example and in alignment to our STIHL values, pillars and behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the CEO in dealing with a range of internal and external issues.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with CEO’s direct reports and other members of the senior leadership team, as well as develop and cultivate strong networks across entire organization.
- Be an active participant in, and provide strategic support for, the Executive Leadership Team, including facilitation of focused discussions, development of timely, relevant agendas, and driving and tracking of decisions and follow-up items.
- Facilitate two-way preparation for key meetings involving the CEO
- Attend all CEO meetings, unless directed otherwise, which will require travel
- Coordinate activities related to the Advisory Board
- Work with CEO and ELT to ensure and facilitate an effective, collaborative working relationship and implement processes to support such relationship
- Coordinate special projects on behalf of the CEO
- interface on external and community relationships critical to the success of company’s position in the market and the company’s priorities and initiatives
- Support CEO’s roles in industry activities, in collaboration with other senior leaders who are active in industry groups
- Partner and direct the Meeting Coordinator to ensure an effective working relationship
- Actively assist in the direction and management of the CEO schedule
- Support the team in a collaborative approach to create innovative and efficient processes
- Manage and organize complex calendar and schedule or CEO proactively resolving any scheduling issues
- Arrange travel and accommodations for CEO, at least 2 –3 weeks in advance of travel
- Other duties as assigned

- Has a strong business sense, a professional maturity, balanced relationship management, and can decipher/maintain priorities with little guidance from the CEO
- Ability to take direction, quickly assess a situation, get needed clarity from the onset, and then drive to the outcome with a sense of urgency.
- Personal skills required include sound judgment, discretion, emotional intelligence and interpersonal ability, organizational aptitude, enterprise perspective, critical thinking, problem solving, and written and verbal communication, among others
- Physical presence at the worksite or physical presence in the field is an essential job function of this role which the Company deems critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, employee well-being and engagement, and enhances the Company culture

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- 7-10+ years of related experience required in working in a role supporting C-Level executives
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Teams, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, and other business software applications
Physical Requirements
- Flexible hours as dictated by the needs of business for projects and meetings
- Must live within 30 minutes of Downtown Seattle
- Must be able to travel with the CEO as needed
- The person in this role needs to be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk as needed to perform essential functions of the job.
- May have extended time periods sitting in front of a computer.
