Summary
An active family is looking for a proactive and organized Family Assistant to help streamline their day-to-day household operations, logistics, and transportation needs for their blended family.
As the Family Assistant, you will help the family with day-to-day tasks ranging from childcare support to household duties, including tidying areas around the house, some light laundry, grocery shopping, and preparing nightly meals.
Main duties will pivot from transportation for high-school-aged children to preparing dinner. No formal culinary training is required, but the candidate must enjoy cooking and be able to follow recipes and prepare dinner for the family.
The anticipated schedule is Monday-Friday, 1:00 pm-6:30 pm (occasionally earlier when the kids have half days), approximately 30 hours per week. Some overnight stays are required with children while parents are traveling (around 10 to 15 days of the year). Local candidates only please.

Responsibilities
- Drive children locally (school pick up), and then to appointments and extra-curricular activities.
- Managing the family calendar, including making appointments and updating the children’s schedule.
- Running personal errands, including grocery shopping, dry cleaner, pharmacy, and any other ad hoc requests.
- Helping keep house tidy and organized, especially in the kitchen/pantry, children’s rooms, and assistance with laundry. There is a weekly Housekeeper on staff for main cleaning.
- Manage all household inventories, supplies, and purchases.
- Assist with organizational projects and other miscellaneous household tasks.
- Childcare duties, including transportation, homework, preparing snacks/dinner, and daily routines.
- Act as point of contact for vendors: manage appointments and scheduling.
- Project management of household maintenance projects.
- Some overnight stays are required with children when parents are traveling.
- Ad hoc projects as requested by principals.
Qualifications
- Must have clean driving record and a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility with hours because the schedule isn't fixed.
- Able to cook or follow recipes (professional training isn't required).
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
