Journalists: Getting Quotes & Collecting Background​


Thanks for your interest in our agency. Because of the high number of requests from journalists, it has become necessary to create a FAQs page for the press. 

Because we are very sensitive to the time schedules of popular journalists, we wanted to create this informational page of non-negotiables because we have been in many situations where journalists invested two (or more) hours in talking with us, only to learn at the end that we can't meet certain expectations they have. In short, being upfront with these polices saves journalists' time. 

Will Brian Daniel tell us the names of specific clients?

The short answer: No. In addition to the robust NDAs: Non-Disclosure Agreements we have with our clients and candidates, under no circumstances will be disclose the names of clients. Even if we don't have an NDA with a particular party, it's considered "uncouth" to drop names. It drives clients away, and the reason VIPs come to us is for privacy. 

Truth be told, it's all downside to drop names. Not only does it help our competitors if they know who our clients are, but it also drives away potential clients. When prospective clients do their research on us, they will see that we "exploited" clients' names for our gain, and they won't do business with us. 

Our website does mention the following families:

  • The Johnson & Johnson Family
  • The Real-Life Crazy Rich Asians

Because of the size of these families/clans, Brian is able to mention only the family name without getting too specific, and that is acceptable with the families based on Brian's relationship with them. 

Can we speak with other employees or candidates that Brian has placed in jobs?

Again, the answer is a firm no. We are at the top of our industry because of how careful we are. We don't want our competitors to know who we work with, nor do we want them to know about the top candidates we secure jobs for. This policy gives us an advantage. 

In the past -- frankly, before we knew better -- we tried to encourage the candidates we represented to speak with journalists, and it blew up in our faces. Because secrecy is so important in the private service industry, candidates who work for celebrities and billionaires know to "keep their mouths shut" because talking is career suicide. 

There are no exceptions whatsoever to this policy. We have turned down interviews to the world's top journalists and publications, even if they wanted to speak to colleagues and candidates on "background only" without mentioning names. 

It's 100% downside for our candidates to speak to journalists, even off the record. There is zero reason to do so, even if they were being paid. 

Can Brian provide photos and videos of life on the job?

Yes, no problem. Our website is packed with hundreds of photos and videos, and any of them can be used with permission. Just let us know which ones you want to use, and we can send you high-resolution images.
