About the role
A lovely family of six (four children) is looking for someone who can fill a flexible, hybrid role, acting as both a Family Assistant and a Housekeeper. The family splits their time between Center City Philadelphia and Lower Merion. The Housekeeper/FA must be comfortable working around young children and a cat.
This role requires someone who can multitask and be comfortable pivoting between housekeeping duties and family assistant tasks to accommodate the needs of the household. A flexible schedule is required, in the evenings, on the days when the family will need assistance with housekeeping.
Duties include dishes and kitchen tidying, laundry, vacuuming and taking care of the family cat. Housekeeper will prepare and serve meals for the children. Occasional meal preparation for the entire family may be requested. Transportation of the children will be required occasionally. The family is looking for an individual that can act as their right-hand to streamline their household functionality.

Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and general tidying of the residence.
- Manage laundry duties, ensuring all clothing and linens are handled with care, folded, and put away.
- Assist in day-to-day household tasks including organization, errands, and ad hoc duties.
- Collaborate with the family to ensure all cleaning and organizational needs are met.
- Assist with the family’s cat.
- Maintain open communication with the family to accommodate any changes in schedule or additional responsibilities.
- Meal preparation and dinner service for children.
- Occasional transportation of children.
Requirements
- A clean driving record.
- Must be comfortable around small children and cats.
- Flexibility in working hours and the ability to adjust to potential schedule changes.
- Enthusiasm for maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Proficiency in performing cleaning tasks and laundry duties.
- Must have own vehicle and be able to commute between two residences (within 7 miles of each other).
