Position Summary
Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Chief of Staff/Executive Assistant to support a Senior Vice President in our New York offices who is standing up a new business inside Sony. The successful candidate will work closely with the founding executive team of a new entity, and have the unique experience of supporting the launch and scale of a new business, requiring intellectual range, patience, and fortitude.
The position will encompass a variety of administrative and chief of staff responsibilities requiring a high-level of trust & confidentiality, excellent organizational & communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for learning.

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $75,000 – $83,000. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.
The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide executive administrative support to senior level executive creating a new startup business inside of Sony
- Maintain executive calendar, schedule meetings and conference calls, handle meeting conflicts and prioritization
- Staff executive at large meetings and gatherings as needed
- Arrange & manage all aspects of travel (itineraries, approvals, flights, hotels, rental vehicles, etc)
- Prepare and manage expense reports
- Prepare and review materials and correspondence for meetings, including creation/modification of presentations
- Organize travel and events for internal team events, team off sites and other team gatherings, including meeting room arrangements, event planning, and catering requests
- Provide light administrative support to other members of the executive team (travel, large meeting scheduling)
- Liaise and build relationships with other groups across Sony
- Be a consistent point of contact in NY for the team
- Other ad-hoc assignments as needed, including research and possible travel
Qualifications For Position
Your qualifications and experience should include:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years work experience, preferably in project management, campaign management, event management or similar role; experience working with high level executives or elected officials a plus
- Interest or background in urban planning, federal/state/local policymaking, infrastructure, and technology and its impact on society a plus
- Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Team player with ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to remain calm under pressure a must
- Excellent telephone and email manner to communicate with all levels of management
- Proficient in Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
- Able to work flexible hours as needed depending on demand
