We have a wonderful family seeking a long-term career Nanny to live-in and assist with 3 children (4th child is due in April, the infant will have a maternity nurse for the first 3 months).
The family would like a Career Nanny, preferably with a background in Early Childhood Education or teaching (but not a deal-breaker). The Nanny will become a part of their family; it’s a very loving environment, where you would eat with the family and be a part of the day-to-day activities and provide some overnights on occasion.
The Nanny will work closely with the stay-at-home mother as a part of the team, offering a “village” mentality. Some of the duties will include, driving children to and from activities and school, various errands, helping with children’s laundry, clearing dishwasher/adding dishes, and tidying and organizing as needed.
They want someone who will take charge and proactively get things done without having to ask. An assertive CAN-DO attitude, positive disposition, happy energy is what this family are seeking for their Career Nanny placement.
Must be active and energetic to keep up with the children who are involved in swimming, dance, tennis, golf, etc.
There is a chef on Mondays, and housekeepers come twice a week. The Nanny must be willing to do basic domestic tasks to keep the house neat (put away toys, keep children’s rooms organized), and basic meal prep.
If the Housekeeper is off, family would appreciate that the Nanny would assist with basic support (no heavy cleaning), rolling up your sleeves with a getting it done mentality.
This family currently employs a Domestic Couple that serve in a House Management and Nanny capacity. Current Nanny works the AM shift (7:30 am to 2:30 pm). The domestic couple works 30 to 40 hours a week (5 days); there is always a 2nd Nanny for afternoon/evenings to fill in the gaps and assist on days off, weekends when needed, etc.
As the Nanny on the 2nd shift, you will work approximately 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday-Saturday, but flexibility is important. Sometimes a day shift or working on a weekend would be required if the circumstances presented themselves. In short, the candidate needs to be flexible, proactive, and adaptable.
Family would prefer Child Development, Education, or other relevant degree. Although not a requirement, it is a very big plus.
Must pass full background and reference check. Only short-listed candidates will be contacted. No phone calls or deliveries, please.
